CLODFELTER, Fred 


Fred Clodfelter 

Mr. Fred C. Clodfelter, 74, of Rt. 1, Comer died Tuesday in a local hospital 
following a sudden illness. 

Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Meadow Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Eugene Pettyjohn, Dr. Virgil Edwards and the Rev. Malcom Gunnells 
officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Mr. Clodfelter, a native of Franklin County, Georgia was the son of the late 
Jake Fred and Sally McMurry Clodfelter.  He had lived in Madison County most 
of his life and was a member of the Meadow Baptist Church, the American 
Legion, the Shannon Lodge and was a retired farmer. 

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Leonia Epps Clodfelter, two daughters, Mrs. 
Albert R. Fogg of Hapeville and Mrs. Herbert B. Stephens of East Point:  four 
sisters, Mrs. Clint Patton of Comer, Mrs. Will D. Christian of Greenville, 
S.C., Mrs. L. O. Moon of Comer, and Mrs. Elco O'Kelley of Danielsville; one 
brother, Mr. Mason Clodfelter of Social Circle; three grandsons and a number 
of nieces and nephews. 

Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
