Anniston Star
Mrs. Lizzie Blankenship, 53, of Cragford, Rt. 1, died Sunday at Clay County 
Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were scheduled today at 2 p.m.
at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Grady Birchfield, the Rev. W. E.
Mattox and the Rev. A. 0. Burdette officiating. Burial was in Bethany Primitive 
Baptist Church Cemetery with Blair Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Henry G. Blankenship; four daughters, Mrs. 
Barbara Kennedy, Mrs. Rosie Lee Mulkey and Mrs. Augusta Campbell, all of 
Cragford, and Mrs. Virginia Duffey of Roanoke; three sons, Alfred G. Wood of 
Louisiana, Hubert Woods of Dadeville, and Thomas G. Blankenship of Daviston; 
five sisters, Mrs. Mary Watson of Opelika, Mrs. Ola Mae Deloach and Miss Marie 
Hadaway, both of Lanett, Mrs. Mattie Belle Dean of New Orleans, and Mrs.
Bobby Morgan of Shawmut; two brothers, Pete Hadaway and Joe N. Hadaway, both of 
Lanett, and 19 grandchildren.
