	John Burton, born abt. 1771/80 in VA; died 1842 in Franklin Co, GA. 
He married abt.1790 in Elbert Co, GA, Mary "Polly" Hudson, died 1847, 
daughter of Cuthbert Hudson. 
	John Burton moved to Reed Creek, Franklin Co, GA by 1818 and built 
a two story log cabin on the road from Hatton's Ford to Carnsville. This 
home also served as a tavern and inn for overnight travelers. 	 
	John and Mary's home was located on a hill overlooking Payne's 
Creek. John and Mary are buried in unmarked graves.

Evelina Harrison. 
	John H. Burton, born 1812 in Hart Co, GA. He married (1)  Nancy 
Harrison. He married (2)  Martha Brady. 
	Abraham Burton, born 1812; died 1857 in AR. He married  Hannah 
Cawthon. 
	Peter Early Burton [2], born 13 Mar 1818. He married (1) Nancy 
Chandler [3]. He married (2) Martha J. Chandler. 
	Mary "Pollie" Burton, born 14 May 1841 in Franklin Co, GA; died 
14 May 1841 in Hart Co, GA. She married  Sterling Pinson. 
	Rhoda Burton, died bef. 1842 in Franklin Co, GA. She married  
Jedediah Ayers.   No marriage record has been found so far. She and 
Jedediah have at least six children. Two of their children moved to 
Fayette Co, AL.
	Sarah "Sallie" Burton, died abt. 1837 in Franklin Co, GA. She 
married on 27 Jan 1833 in Franklin Co, GA, Allen Isbell. 
	Martha Burton, born  in Franklin Co, GA. She married on 30 Nov 
1837 in Franklin Co, GA, William Burton. 
	Susan Burton, born  in Franklin Co, GA. She married Lewis Aderhold.

	Cuthbert Hudson Burton, born 1796 in Franklin Co, GA; died 12 Sep 
1821 in Franklin Co, GA. He married  Evelina Harrison, born 1798 in VA; 
died aft. 1850 in Franklin Co, GA.
