Correction:

In last week's paper a correction was run to include the name of someone alleged to be
the son of Melvin Knight, whose obituary appeared in the previous week's paper. The
caller who gave this information falsely identified herself as a particular family member.
According to members of Mr. Knight's immediate family, he had no son, and the
information that was in last week's correction was a hoax.
In the future, any additions to obituaries must come from the funeral homes that initially
submitted the information.
