ALBRIGHT, Conrad and Rosina, 1923

WIFE FOLLOWS HER HUSBAND IN DEATH

April 23, 1923

  Conrad F. Albright and Mrs. Rosina Albright, his wife, residents of Sinking 
Valley, died within one hour of each other yesterday evening at their home, the 
husband dying from heart failure at 4:30 o'clock and the wife from complications 
of disease at 5:20. Both were taken ill on Washington's Birthday. 

  They were natives of Germany. Mr. Albright was born August 16th, 1845, and his 
wife, who was Rosina Endress, was born December 3, 1851. Each was confirmed in 
the Lutheran Church at the age of 14 years. They were married in 1871 and came 
to the United States in 1874. Ever since, their home had been in Blair County. 
They were highly respected as substantial citizens, useful in church and 
community. 

  Surviving are five sons and three daughters: G. C., John and George, of 
Tyrone; Christian and Mrs. John Hastings, of Sinking Valley: Charles and Mrs. 
Harrison Frederick of Altoona: Mrs. Irvin McBath, of Lakemont. There are 37 
grandchildren. Mrs. Albright is also survived by a brother and a sister, George 
Endress of Altoona and Mrs. Henry Kahlein of London, England. 

  Funeral services will be held in the Sinking Valley Lutheran Church at 10:30 
Monday morning, the cortege leaving the home at 10:00 o'clock. Internment in 
Church cemetery.
