RUTH S. ABRAMS 

  Mrs. Ruth S. Abrams, formerly of 1206 Clay Avenue and a guest at 
Epworth Manor died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004 at Tyrone Hospital at7:45 
a.m.
  She was born Dec. 21, 1921 in Tyrone, the daughter of Reed F. and 
Annie M. Harris Searer and on Oct. 23, 1947 was married at the First 
Methodist Church to Glenn H. Abrams who preceded her in death May 20, 
1981.
  She is survived by a sister, Enid M., wife of Ritchie McConahy of 
Melbourne, Fla.; two brothers, Howard P. and wife Maxine of Cape Coral, 
Fla. and Richard H. and wife Ann of Tyrone; and numerous nieces and 
nephews.
  She was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1939 and of the 
former Altoona School for Secretaries. Prior to her marriage, she was 
employed as a secretary for the state of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg 
with the Department of Transportation. She was a member of Wesley 
United Methodist Church.
  Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. at 
Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles A. Fitzgerald 
officiating. Interment will be made in Blair Memorial Park.
  Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on 
Tuesday from 7-9 p.m.
  Contributions in her memory may be made to the Tyrone-Snyder Library 
Building Fund, 1019 Logan Avenue, Tyrone, PA 16686.
