Death of Hon. W.C. Arnold

Tuesday the news of the sudden death of Hon. W.C. Arnold, who had been on a
business trip to Michigan in the interests of Jno E. DuBois, shocked the
entire community. He went to Michigan last Tuesday and while he was not in
robust health, his death was entirely unexpected.

He was born at Luthersburg in 1851 and he was a resident of Clearfield
county all his life with the exception of a very few years. He was
recognized as one of the brightest lawyers in this part of the State, and as
a public speaker, he had few equals. Socially and politically he was held
in the highest esteem by the people. He was an honored member of the Elks
and the Acorn Club.

Through his death, DuBois loses one of her foremost citizens and Clearfield
county one of her ablest lawyers.
