Girl Dies In Auto Accident At Houtzdale
(Special to Altoona Mirror) 

  PHILIPSBURG, July 12. - An eleven-year-old Houtzdale girl was killed and her 
sister and an uncle were injured seriously over the week-end in a group of two 
accidents, one a truck-car accident near Houtzdale and the other a home 
accident.
  Shirley G. Dufor, daughter of Modist Dufor of Houtzdale, R. D. 1, died in the 
Philipsburg hospital at 12.30 o'clock Saturday night of injuries received when a 
truck operated by Lee Thompson of Osceola Mills pulled into the highway in front 
of a car driven by Mrs. Irene Solensky, aged 24, the girl's sister, according to 
police.
  The accident occurred at Maple Hill, between Osceola Mills and Philipsburg. 
The condition of Mrs. Solensky at the hospital here is reported as "good." Four 
others were injured, none seriously.
  The second accident happened when Lawrence Solensky of Houtzdale, husband of 
the injured woman, fell from the roof of a barn he was tearing down at 
Houtzdale. He was admitted to the Philipsburg hospital at 12.05 o'clock Sunday 
afternoon suffering from a fractured back and paralysis.
