DuBois Courier Express, Monday, October 11, 1954
Jay Lawson Curry. Jay Lawson Curry, a retired sheet worker for the B & O 
Railroad, died in the DuBois Hospital at the age of 66. He was born in Red 
Bank, Pa., the son of Jacob and Sara [sic] Jane (Bussard) Curry and made his 
home at the Nelson Hotel for the past several years. /P/ He was preceded in 
death by his wife, the former Emma Fritz, in February, 1937, and the following 
brothers and sisters: Grant, Melvin, George, Harry, Royrs. Mary Emma Osmond 
(sic: Osman), Mrs. Greta Lerch and Mrs. Decima Green. /P/ Surviving are two 
sons,, Charles, DuBois, Russell, Tonawanda, N.Y.; four daughters, Mrs. Irene 
Mix, Mrs. Lucille Mix, Mrs. Nita Kehoe, of Tonawanda, N.Y., and Mrs. Norma 
Frisby, of Bradford. Sixteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and one 
sister, Mrs. Addia (sic) Spencer, of Oregon, survive. /P/ Friends will be 
recieved at the Moore Funeral Chapel this afternoon until funeral time at 2 
p.m. Rev. Mary McNaughton will officiate with interment in the Morningside 
cemetery. 

Additional Comments:
His birth name is Jesse Lawson Curry, son of Jacob Pratt Curry and Sarah Jane 
Buzard. - Buried Oct 11, 1954, Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, Clearfield Co., 
PA; Section S-1. - Jay is my great-granduncle. He married my materal 
grandaunt, Emma Frances Fritz, i.e., I share ancestors with both Jay and Emma.
