In Memorium
     Phillip W. Chambers was born in Lock Haven, Dec 16, 1822, and died at 
Penfield Oct 5, 1891. He came to the Bennetts Branch region in 1841, and for 
the following half century lived here. He was married Nov 7, 1847 to Miss 
Emeline Bliss who survives him. Eleven children were born, Wm F, Clara McKay, 
Adeline deceased, Allen J., Phebe Youngs, Luzerne Keeley, Myrtle Byers, John 
L., Charles M., and Minnie. (Mary M was the child not listed) Mr. Chambers was 
an industrous and skilled mechanic, living unobtrusively all these long years, 
and dying not without hope. During many of the last years he was much 
afflicted with paralysis, which finally caused his death.
    The funeral was at the house on Wednesday, Rev J.J. Rankin in charge, T.B. 
Buoy Director. The burial was in Penfield Cemetery.    

Additional Comments:
Phillip Chambers married Emeline C Bliss and they were parents of 11 children. 
Allen Rosenkrans, a writer of the day, says that Phillip's parents were Daniel 
Chambers and Margaret Hevner.
