1932 - 2004

Dexter Lovely, 72, of 9662 County Road 20, Galion, 
died Friday, October 22, 2004 at home after an apparent 
heart attack.

Born March 19, 1932 in Magoffin County, Ky., he was 
the son of the late William Lovely and Mary (Carpenter)
Lovely. He married Betty J. (Wolff) Lovely on February 
16, 1952 and she survives.

He attended Craft Creek School in Kentucky. He enjoyed 
the outdoors, hunting, fishing, working around the house 
and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren 
and great grandchildren. He was a former member of the 
National Rifle Assoc.

He worked at Wilkens Air Force Depot in Shelby, Gledhill 
Road Machinery for 16 years where he was an overhead 
crane operator, Shult Mobile Home Manufacturing in Galion 
and Crestline and was a self employed refuse hauler.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry and 
Rena Lovely and David Lovely of Galion; four grandchildren 
and spouses, Leigh Anne Lovely, Nathan and Kim Lovely, 
Angie and Ray Kelly and Michael Lovely; three great-grandchildren, 
Aubrey Lovely, Toni Lovely and Brooke Kelly; one sister, Shirley 
Burcham of Columbia City, Ind. and a sister-in-law, Frances Imhoff of Galion.

He was preceded in death by two sons Dexter Alan and Dennis Carl 
Lovely; three sisters, Bertha Jackson, Marie Fry and Thelma Smith; 
four brothers, Nelson, Rayon, Rex and Omer Lovely and a sister-in-law 
and two brothers-in-law, Helen and Carl Heinberger and George Imhoff.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, October 25, at 
Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. 
Monday, with Gene Luidhardt officiating. Interment will be in Blooming 
Grove Cemetery.
