Crabtree, Shelvia Gene Tackett , 64, of Salyersville, died Tuesday, 
March 29, 2005 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville. 

Born Aug. 15, 1941, in Magoffin County, she was a daughter of the 
late Waymen and Ida Mullins Tackett. She was a waitress and of the 
Freewill Baptist faith. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Crabtree; a 
brother, James Edward Tackett; and a sister Eula Simpkins. Survivors 
include two daughters, Lisa Jo Koch and Jennifer Jacqueline Brown, 
both of Salyersville; two brothers, Dallas Tackett of Cynthiana, and David 
Tackett of Wittensville; three sisters, Sally Burgett, Faye Turner, and Christie 
Gibson, all of Salyersville; and three grandchildren. 

Funeral services were Thursday, March 31, at Kernie Freewill Baptist 
Church, Johnson Fork, with Butch Whitaker officiating. 

Burial was in Patrick-Lovely Cemetery, Johnson Fork, under direction 
of Magoffin County Funeral Home, Salyersville.
