Born Aug. 15, 1944, in Magoffin County, he was a son of the late Kernie Lee and Myrtle Collinsworth Howard. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Howard and Larry Howard; and three sisters, Pansy May, Imogene Pennington and Leslie Vern. Survivors include seven brothers, Alva Howard of Oil Springs, Thomas Howard and Wilmer Howard, both of Dayton, Clyde Howard of Mary Esther, Fla., Steaven Howard of Vidar, Texas, Darrell Howard of Enon, Ohio, and Eddie Howard of Navarre, Fla.; and three sisters, Roxie Alice Pennington of Oil Springs, Chorena Long of Enon, Ohio, and Gloria Trusty of Wittensville. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 13, at Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel, Salyersville, with Revs. J. D. Rice and Buster Blanton officiating.
