Marie Hall Howard 
1925-2002

MAGOFFIN COUNTY  Marie Hall Howard, 77, of Salyersville, 
died Tuesday, Nov. 12, at ARH Medical Center, West Liberty.

Born Jan. 8, 1925, in Magoffin County, she was a daughter of 
the late George and Hattie Hensley Hall. She was a self-employed 
truck owner and a member of Primitive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlow Howard; 
a brother,Elmer Kelsoe; four sisters, Katherine Akers, Orabelle 
Keeton, Ada Pennington and Rosie Wright.

Survivors include three sons, Denzel Howard, James Jearld Howard 
and Vincin Howard, all of Salyersville; four daughters, Carolyn Sue 
Phipps and Cathy Salyer, both of Salyersville, and Teresa Vance 
and Lisa Renee Robertson, both of Princeton; a brother, William 
Pennington of Flatwoods; two sisters, Mae Ward of Salyersville 
and Evelyn Charles of Lancer; 25 grandchildren;and 34 
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 15, at 
Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel, Salyersville, with Elders 
Rick Howard, Teddy Montgomery, and Louie Howard officiating. 
Burial was in Moses Howard Cemetery, Coon Creek, under direction 
of Magoffin County Funeral Home.
