Lucy Howes Gullett
March 23, 1907-June 4, 2001

Lucy Howes Gullett, age 94, of Salyersville, died Monday, June 4, at 
the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville.

She was born March 23, 1907, in Magoffin County, the daughter of the 
late James W. and Hettie Howes.

She was a retired postmaster and a member of the Mouth of 
Buffalo Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Eldon Ray Gullett, of Ann Arbor, Michigan 
and Nelson Clay Gullett, of Salyersville; one daughter, Barbara Hall, 
of Paintsville; two sisters, Lillie Hensley and Alma Adams, both of 
Salyersville; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five 
great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, at the 
Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Smith officiating.

Burial followed in the HowesGullett Cemetery on Lick Creek with the 
Magoffin County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
