LAURA HURT CLEMONS


BELLE CENTER -- Laura Clemons, 72, of Belle Center, died at 5:32 a.m. 
Tuesday, March 31, 1998 at Lima Memorial Hospital. 

She was born Aug. 4, 1925 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Sidney P. 
and Arzella (Walters) Hurt. She married Arthur Clemons on Jan. 15, 1943, 
and he survives in Ada. 

Also surviving are five sons, Ronald, Jerry and Kevin, all of Ada; 
Robert Arthur of Rutherford, N.C.; Jeffrey of Lafayette; three daughters, 
Mrs. Sam (Marilyn) Nitchie, Mrs. Robert (Sheila) Dye and Mrs. Ron (Helen) 
Shumaker, all of Ada; three sisters, Mrs. Amos (Ella) Caudill, Ulia Hall, 
both of Kenton; Lula Compton, Alger; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchilden. 

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah Adkins, Mary Dyer, Esther Hinton 
and Ada Hensley; and two brothers, George Hurt and Henry Hurt. 

Mrs. Clemons was a homemaker. She was a member of Quickstep Pentecostal 
Church of God, Alger. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Ada Full Gospel Church, 
the Rev. James Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Marysville Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hanson-Neely 
Funeral Home, Ada, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
