CHARLES C. ADAMS

Aged 78, former resident of Carrolltown, died Thursday in Atlanta, Ga., according 
to word received by his son R. C. Adams, cashier of the First National bank Gallitzin, 
and a resident of Carrolltown.  He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John M. 
Smith.  He was born on Jan. 21, 1872 near St. Augustine.  For more than 30 years 
he was employed in the First National bank Carrolltown, part of the time as a cashier.  
Due to illness he left the Northern Cambria county town 16 years ago.  His wife, 
the former Aline Sharbaugh died in 1930.  Surviving are the son, R. C. Adams of 
Carrolltown, the daughter, Mrs. John M. Smith of Atlanta: seven grandsons and 
one sister, Mrs. Nell Kaylor of Youngstown, O.  He was a charter member of 
Ebensburg council 522 Knights of Columbus and the Catholic church.
