Star and Sentinel, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania July 17, 1926
LITTLESTOWN - Oliver C. BADDERS, 42 years, brother of Harry M. BADDERS, 
Lombard street, was instantly killed when he was struck by an express train on 
the Pennsylvania railroad at Bellevue, Delaware. Mr. BADDERS was a freight 
contuctor on the Pennsylvania railroad. His train was standing at Bellevue, 
and he stepped from behind the last car on the train, supposedly to perform 
some act of his official duty, when the express train bore down upon him and 
hurled him to the side of the tracks. He was instantly killed. Deceased is 
survived by a widow and one child. Funeral services were held Friday at 1 p.m. 
Eastern standard time, at Wilmington, Delaware. Interment was made in 
Riverview cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. BADDERS and family, accompanied by 
Mr. and Mrs. William BADDERS, Covington, Virginia, left Friday for Wilmington 
to attend the funeral. Mr. BADDERS was well known here, having visited his 
brother quite frequently.
