John M. ALLISON of Butler township died on last Thursday from catarrh of the 
stomach after an illness of about a year, aged about 70 years.  He was a well 
known farmer of his township, enjoying the respect of a wide circle of 
acquaintances.  The funeral was held on Monday with interment at Flohr's Church 
graveyard.  He leaves a wife, three sons and four daughters, Samuel Allison of 
Butler township, James and George at home, Mrs. Alta LADY of Franklin township, 
Mrs. Harry BEATTY and Mrs. William MCCLEAF of near Gettysburg, and Miss Lillie 
Allison of near Biglerville.
