Miss Bell Erwin Lanier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Campbell Lanier, of 
West Point, Ga., whose engagement announced today by her parents, to Ira Evans 
Bradfield, of LaGrange, is of much interest throughout the state.

Mr. and Mrs. William Campbell Lanier, of West Point, Ga., announce the 
engagement of their daughter, Belle Erwin, to Ira Evans Bradfield, of LaGrange, 
Ga., the marriage to be solemnized March 7.

Lanier-Bradfield Wedding at LaGrange

West Point, Ga., March 14. -- The largest social event of the season around 
which centered unusual interest owing to the prominence and popularity of the 
bride and groom, was the wedding of Miss Belle Erwin Lanier and Ira Evans 
Bradfield, of LaGrange, Ga., which was solemnized Saturday evening, March 7, at 
7 o'clock in the First Methodist Church.  Dr. Ernest Quick, of the First 
Baptist church, being the officiating minister, using the impressive ring 
ceremony.

A beautiful program of music arranged by the gifted organist, Mrs. Edgar 
Mitchell, was given before the entrance of the bridal party.

First to enter were the ushers, Phil, Jim, and Horace Lanier, all uncles of the 
bride, and Thomas C. Erwin, of Atlanta, a great-uncle, all of whom were 
attendants at the wedding of the bride's parents 24 years ago.

There were eight bridesmaids, intimate friends and relatives of the bride, who 
were: Mrs. Frank Williams, Misses Nancy Booker, Ada Ferrell Tatum, Laura 
McCulloh, Jette Baker, Catherine Erwin, of Atlanta; Francina Cook, Louise Slack 
of LaGrange.  Four of the maids wore lovely green georgette frocks over satin 
slips with slippers to match, and four were gowned in peach blossom pink with 
the same accessories.  They carried lovely bouquets of lavender sweet peas tied 
with a gauze of the same shade.

The groomsmen were: Jim Baker, of Atlanta; B. W. Cubbedge, Ebb Dozier, Joe 
McGee, Van Andrews, Cyrus Shearer, Clarence White, Frank Tatum, of LaGrange. 

Additional Comments:
Ira was born 22 Sept 1902, died 11 June 1977 in LaGrange, Troup Co., GA

Belle was born 12 Aug 1903, died 16 Feb 1983 in LaGrange, Troup Co., GA.

They are buried at Hill View Cemetery in LaGrange, Ga.
