Jackson Argus Week of May 3, 1895
RESOLUTION Daisy Jones

Whereas, In the death of Daisy Jones, the Freshman class of the Jackson
Institute of which she was a member, has sustained a sad loss, therefore, we,
the representatives of her class.

Resolve 1st. That we deeply deplore the death of one who we all loved.

The sad circumstances of her separation from home and mother during her last
illness, appeal to our deepest sympathies, and our eyes overflow with tears at
her early death.

Resolved 2nd. Although she has been with us a short time, she endeared herself
to each of us by her bright and happy manners, and we shall miss her pleasant
face from our number, yet we submit to the will of one who is infinite wisdom
and love.

Resolved 3rd. That we trust her death will cause the member of her class and
the entire school to think seriously of life and its responsibilities, and that
we may henceforth live lives of devotion to duty; then she will not have died
in vain.

Resolved 4th. That we extend our profound sympathy to the family of our dear
friend, and we trust that they may obtain solace from the Great Healer upon
whom we are taught to cast our cares.

Resolved 5th. That the Argus will please publish this resolution and send a
copy to the bereaved family.

Next paragraph illegible.

Jesse Hanes, Mary Newton, Lucile Pope and Fanny Furlow, Committee.
