Trumer E. Gravitt

Trumer Edison Gravitt, 58, 921 Greenville St., LaGrange, died July 19, 1986, at 
West Georgia Medical Center {LaGrange, Troup Co., GA} following an extended 
illness.

Born in Cleburne County, Ala., on Dec. 28, 1927, Mr. Gravitt was the son of the 
late Rev. Garland and Harriett Nixon Gravitt.  On Oct. 27, 1950, he was married 
to the former Betty Redden.  Mr. Gravitt was employed by West Point-Pepperell.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Steve J. Gravitt of 
LaGrange, and Diron K. Gravitt of Hogansville; four sisters, Alvaretta Williams 
of Bowdon, Lovetta Whitaker of Bunnell, Fla., Lavada S. Brown of Bowdon, Sybil 
Jackson of Ranburne, Ala.; four brothers, G. W. Gravitt of Anniston, Ala., 
Goodwyn Gravitt of Lanett, Ala., Elmo Gravitt and George Gravitt of Bowdon; 
four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted July 21 from the Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. 
Darnell Teal and the Rev. Robert Longshore Jr. officiating.  Interment was in 
the church cemetery with the following pallbearers: Mickey Searels, Randy 
Hyatt, Chris Jackson, Larry Williams, Winfred Lawler and Lawrence Williams.
