Fires Pistol Ball Through His Heart

Aged Man, Ill, Ends His Own Life At LaGrange

LaGrange, Ga., July 21 - Oliver Currier fired a pistol ball through his heart 
while in his room here at 6 o'clock this morning.

Mr. Currier, who was 64 years of age, had been in bad health for some time.  He 
had no relatives here, but said he had a niece in Boston, Mass.  His home was 
said to have been in Portland, Me.  He came to LaGrange about two years ago and 
for one year was a night watchman at Unity Mills.  Later he engaged as a cook 
at a restaurant.

Not long ago he is quoted as saying that he had about nine hundred dollars in a 
bank in Atlanta and yestserday said he was going up to Atlanta early this 
morning.  Another witness at the coroner's inquest said that the nine hundred 
dollars was in a bank in Boston.
