LOCAL News

News is received in Roanoke that Mrs. George L. Cox committed suicide early 
this morning at her home in LaGrange. She had been in ill health twelve months 
but no indication of the tragedy was given. Until a few years ago the Cox 
family lived near Omaha, this county. It is thought that the interment will be 
at Big Springs.

Mrs. Geo. L. Cox was buried at Big Springs last Thursday afternoon in the 
presence of a large congregation. The deceased was 46 years old, was the 
mother of thirteen children, eight children living.  She was a member of the 
First Baptist church in LaGrange, Ga., and was a devoted christian. Revs. W.P. 
Cumbee and R.B. Hester were in charge of the funeral service.
