The LaGrange Reporter, April 12, 1895
His many friends in and around our city were deeply grieved by the
intelligence of the death of Dr. W. O. Breedlove, which occurred at his
father's home in Lee County, Ala., at about 11 o'clock last Friday motning.
His remains were interred at the cemetery in Salem, Saturday afternoon. Dr.
Will Breedlove was well known, highly esteemed and greatly beloved by our
people. For some years he practiced dentistry here and the unanimous verdict
is that a better or more conscientious dentist never practiced in our city. He
was about 30 years of age, a consistent member of the Methodist church, a
perfect gentleman, possessed of many noble and excellent traits of character,
and an honest, upright citizen. Those who knew him most intimately could see
the beauty of his character and appreciated his rare worth most highly. In no
relation to life was he found wanting. As a friend he was ever candid,
sincere, and true. No one could ever think him capable of the slightest
hypocrisy. When he left us some months ago, we felt that our loss was great,
and now that he has passed from earth we feel that our loss is irreparable.
His young wife, so sadly bereaved, has the profound sympathy of our entire
community.

Additional Comments:
From the day of her husband's death until her own death in 1959 Aunt Eppie
Woodyard Breedlove never wore any color other than black.
