  MYRTLE J ALDEN
  
  Myrtle Johns Alden, 88, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, died February 16 in
  Finlay, Ohio, where she had lived with her daughter for the past several
  years.  She was born June 18, 1891, in Salisbury and was the last member of
  the late R. Scott and Ormanda (Whelfley) Johns family, being preceded in
  death by ten brothers and sisters, four of these in infancy.  Her husband,
  Joseph Alden, died in 1965.  She is survived by a son, William, and a
  daughter, Betty, wife of Gene Gearke, both of Ohio, also six grandchildren
  and six great-grandchildren, nieces, Dorothy (Johns) Horning, Meyersdale;
  Myrtle, (Johns) Bodes, Meyersdale RD 1; Lillian (Johns) Gilmore, Pasadena,
  California, and Robert Johns, Salisbury.  She resides in Salisbury and
  taught in the area schools until she moved to Cleveland about 1915.  She
  married in 1917 and lived in Cleveland Heights for more than 60 years.  
  Friends were received at the Bersticker Funeral Home in Toledo.  Graveside
  services were held on the morning of February 20 at the Acacia Park
  Cemetery, Cleveland.  Rev. Donald Lefeler, of the Windbermere Methodist
  Church where the deceased had been a life long member, officiated.
