HIRAM ALBRIGHT

  Hiram Albright, aged 81, a veteran hotel man of Meyersdale and Berlin, died 
Wednesday afternoon at his home on North Street, following a brief illness 
incident to old age.
  He was born August 3, 1850, in Lonaconing Md., and came here 25 years ago.  
After conducting the Union Hotel for 15 years, he moved to Berlin, where he was 
engaged in the hotel business until four years ago, when he moved back to 
Meyersdale and purchased the Somerset House.  Mr. Albright retired from business 
a few months ago.
  Surviving are his wife and these children:  Theresa and Hiram Jr., both of 
Bedford; Mary and Mrs. John Dixon, both of Pittsburgh.
  The body was prepared for burial by Undertaker William C. Price, and will be 
taken to Lonaconing, Md., Friday for burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
