  ADAMS
  
  Thomas R. Adams, 77, Summerhill Road, died June 3, 2003, at Memorial
  Medical Center.  Born May 17, 1926 in Portage the son of Stanley and Mary
  (McGough) Adams.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Ronald; brothers,
  William, Robert, James, and Paul Adams and an infant sister.  Survived by
  loving wife of 54 years, Arlene (Miller) Adams; children; Diane Corte,
  Portage Township, Susan, wife of J. Dale Bourdess Jr., Sidman, and Russell,
  married to the former Cathy Seder, Cresson.  Also survived by grandchildren:
  Jennifer Pisarski, Jason Corte, Melissa "Misty" Wilt, Trina Bourdess, Adams
  Bourdess, Amanda Adams, Zachary Adams, and Austin "Zeke" Adams.  Brother of
  Jean Bolvin, Entrieken, Rose Marie "Posy" Hurd, Elmira, NY, Earl C. "Major"
  Adams and wife Louise, Summerhill Township, Gertrude, wife of Wade Ross,
  Summerhill Township, and Stanley Adams and wife Alice, Montague, Mass.  Also
  survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Former steel worker and a
  self-employed Barber for 40 years on Scalp Ave., Richland.  Retired Navy
  veteran of World War II and Korean Conflict with 41 years of active and
  reserve service.  Twice past master of the Greater Johnstown Masonic Lodge
  538 and Lodge secretary for 20 years.  Member of the Mount Olive Church,
  Sidman, where he served as a lay speaker.  Avid hunter and fisherman and an
  acomplished carpenter and  woodworker.  Friends received from 2-4 and 6-9 pm
  Thursday at the Mark A. Serenko Funeral Home, Portage, where the Marine Corp.
  League will have a memorial service at 6:30pm and the Masonic Lodge 538 will
  have a memorial service at 7 pm.  Friends will also be received from 10 am
  - 12 pm Friday at the funeral home.  Family and friends will gather at the
  Mount Olive Church for funeral services at 2pm Friday.  Rev. Thomas Moore,
  officiating.  Committal in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.  Graveside military
  rites by the Marine Corps League.
