  CLIFFORD C ADAMS

  Clifford C. Adams, 69, of Buffalo Mills, died April 5, 1973.  Born Jan. 19,
  1904, in Bedford County, he was a son of Silas E. and Cora (Suder) Adams.
  Surviving are his wife, the former Bertha Speicher, and these children:
  Phyllis, wife of William Slack, Schellsburg; Doris, wife of Eugene Perdew,
  Everett RD 1; and Leah, wife of George Saylor, Fishertown; six
  grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vera Adams, Buffalo
  Mills; and Mrs. Mary Shippey, Manns Choice; and three brothers, Harry H.
  Adams, Hollidaysburg RD 1; Ray R. and Fred F. Adams, both of Berlin.  Mr.
  Adams served as treasurer of Bedford County from 1960 to 1964, was Harrison
  Township tax collector for 23 years, was justice of the peace and operated a
  general merchandise store in Buffalo Mills.  He was a member of TPA, CARP and
  also served as a US weather observer for 16 years.  Funeral service was held
  Sunday afternoon in Buffalo Mills United Church of Christ, of which he was
  a member, with Rev. Mearle Leventry officiating.  Interment in Plesant Ridge
  Cemetery.
