 The Rev. Charles W. Parker Sr., 58, died Tuesday at Caritas Medical Center.
He was a native of Winchester, Ky.; former pastor of Wid-Way Baptist Church
in Winchester, Miles Chapel CME Church in Lebanon and Johnson Memorial CME
Church in Ashland; an Army veteran; and a member of Lampkin Chapel CME
Church and Masonic Lodge 25.
Survivors: his wife, Sharon Parker; a daughter, Dora Burgess; three sons,
the Rev. Bert V. Parker, Van B. Parker and Charles W.
Parker II; stepdaughters Allison Felton, Karla Bell, Chanda Haynes and Ninya
and Tanya Parker; stepsons Dana and Heath Bowie, Jerry Bell and Cory and
Courtney Haynes; his mother, Annabelle Parker; brothers Bert and Ronnie
Parker; and several grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Lampkin Chapel CME Church, 2738 Algonquin
Parkway. Burial: Green Meadows Memorial. Visitation: the church, after 9:30
a.m. Saturday. Arrangements: G.C. Williams.
