OBITUARY OF JAMES L. LAYNE

James L. Layne
    James L. Layne, 82, of ORlando, Florida died Saturday, June 3.
    Mr. Layne was vorn in Louisa and moved to Florida in 1958.
    He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Downtown,
Orlando Chamber of Commerce, Mayors Prayer Breakfast Club, Telephone
Pioneers of America, memver of I.E.E.E. )International electrical
Engineers Organization), and Board of Trustees at First United Methodist
Church.  He was a retired District Engineer for Southern Bell-Orlando.
     The funeral was conducted Tuesday, June 6 at Carey Hand C olonial
Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Juvinall of First United Methodist
Churach.  Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
     Surviving are his wife, Mary Layne; two sons, Stephen W. Layne of
Orlando and Charles W. Layne of Tampa, Florida; a brother, Paul Layne of
Mobile, Alabama; five grandchildren and one great-grand-child.
     Carey Hand Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
