Woodrow "Woody" Courtney, 81, died Friday at his home.
He was a retired district supervisor for the old South Central Bell
Telephone Co. and a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survivors: his wife, Helen Courtney; a son, Bill Courtney; daughters Taylor
Wells and Candy Fitzgerald; a stepson, Terry Gerald; eight grandchildren,
including Dustin Gerald, who cared for him; and two greatgrandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, La.
Burial: Monroe Memorial Park. Visitation: Heady-Willhite-Ballard,
Middletown, 4-7 p.m. Saturday and at Kilpatrick after 9 a.m. Monday.
Memorial gifts: Eastwood Christian Church.
