The Cherokee Advance 5 Mar 1886 p 3
Woodstock, Georgia March 3--
Mr. William Dickerson, a baggage-master of the W. & A. Railroad, fell while
coupling cars, at Marietta, Thursday of last week, and the wheels of the engine
passed over and cut off his legs, from the effects of which he never rallied,
and died that night. He was a young married man, and leaves a wife and two
children, and many relatives and friends in this county. He was a son of Mr.
_____ Dickerson, who lives near Trickum, east of Woodstock, in this county. We
regret his untimely death and sympathize with his many friends. He was buried
at Trickum last Saturday--funeral preached by C. M. McClure.
