The Cherokee Advance 27 Mar 1885 p 2
Obituary Notice
Died March 25 (sic), 1885, at her home, 6 miles south of Canton, of consumption
Nannie E., wife of R. B. Allgood, Esq., aged 33 years. She protested religion
at an early age, united with the Baptist church and lived a consistent member up
to her death. She died the death of a true christian, and said she was "going
home to God" She was an affectionate wife, a good mother, and loved by all who
knew her. She left many relatives and friends to mourn their loss, though our
loss is her eternal gain. She said,
"Lord, I commit my soul to thee,
Accept the sacred trust,
Receive this nobler part of me
And watch my sleeping dust."
A true friend,
              Jane Wiley.
