The Cherokee Advance 13 Feb 1885 p 3
On the night of the 5th inst at the residence of Mr. H. Gresham, a prominent
farmer of Cobb county, Mr. R. H. Steele, of this county, and Miss Nannie Gresham
were united in the holy bans of matrimony by A. G. Johnson. We congratulate the
happy couple, and join many others in wishing them a long life crowned with
innumerable pleasures. Mr. Steel is an excellent fellow, a good farmer and has
one of the best farms on the Etowah river, and for several years has needed a
wife to share his joys and comforts and brighten up his bachelor rendevzous (sic).
