FUGITT, Victoria (Ball)

Funeral services for Mrs. Victoria Ball Fugitt, 82, who died at her home 
Saturday at Chapman, KY, following a brief illness, were conducted Tuesday at 2 
p.m. at the Chapman Methodist Church by the Rev. S. B. Ball and the Rev. Arbie 
Meek. Burial followed in the Elzie Ball Cemetery near Adams, KY. Mrs. Fugitt, 
who had lived in Chapman for the past 40 years, was born May 20, 1869, at Adams, 
the daughter of Elzie and Florence Berry Ball. She was a member of the Chapman 
Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Fugitt have been married for 62 years. Surviving 
are her husband, W. T. Fugitt; seven daughters, Mrs. Z. W. Chapman of Pikeville, 
Mrs. George F. Smith of Louisa, Mrs. Marion Franklin of Catlettsburg, Mrs. James 
Damron of Gallup, Mrs. Walter Vogel of Indianapolis, IN, Mrs. Lester Hautebergue 
of Wixom, MI, and Miss Jewell Fugitt, at home; four sons, Milton V. of St. 
Louisa, MO, Roscoe of Louisa, route 1, Geyger of Ashland, and B. R. Fugitt of 
Louisa; three sisters, Mrs. Sue Carter of College Hill, TN, Mrs. Emma Burton of 
Adams, and Mrs. Ruby Carter of Columbus, OH, two brothers, Mont Ball of Columbus 
and Drew Ball of Sharon, PA, her stepmother, Mrs. Ella Ball of Columbus, 42 
grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were under the
