CRUM, Mary Elizabeth (McKinster)

1872-1952

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Crum, 80, was found dead in her bed early Tuesday morning 
when relatives visited her home. Coroner L. Byron Young said death came as a 
result of a heart attack while she slept. Born April 17, 1872, she was the 
daughter of the late Jesse and Mary E. Ramey McKinster and had lived at Adams 
all her life. She had been a member of the Freewill Baptist Church for many 
years. Funeral services are to be Friday morning at Mary Emily Church with Young 
Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Adams. 
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Levi Streitenberger, Louisa, Mrs. Dave 
Cordle, Columbus, Oh, Mrs. Oscar Short, Adams, and Mrs. Earl Moore, Louisa, two 
sons, L. B. of Adams and Okie of Lockbourne, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Trennie 
Swetman, Sinking Springs, OH, and Mrs. Milt Short of Adams; two brothers, Milt 
McKinster of Adams and Jesse of route 1, Fort Gay. Also surviving are 25 
grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Her first husband, Mart Hayes, 
preceded her in death in 1929 and her second, W. J. Crum died in 1941. Big Sandy
