COMPTON, Ramie Lee (Prince)

1903-1962

Mrs. Ramie Lee Compton, 61, of Louisa, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, in a Louisa 
hospital after a six month illness. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. 
Tuesday from the Young Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. C. Hager 
officiating. Burial was in Pinehill Cemetery. Mrs. Compton was born May 27, 
1903, on Louisa Route 3, a daughter of the late John Franklin and Virginia Large 
Prince. Mrs. Compton was the kitchen supervisor at Louisa General Hospital. She 
was a member of the Methodist Church and the widow of Ross Compton, who died 
April 2, 1940. She is survived by a son, Wayne Scott Compton of Louisa; two 
sisters, Mrs. Charles Forest of Centerburg, OH and Mrs. Ozella Hicks of 
Clarksburg, OH; three brothers, W. S. Prince of Roanoke, VA, Charles Prince of 
Portsmouth, OH and George Prince of Louisa Rout 3 and two grandchildren. Big
