BOYD, Louisa (Estep)

1880-1959

Mrs. Louisa Estep Boyd, 78 years old, 307 Sullivan Street, Louisa, died 
Thursday, July 2, at her home after an illness of three months. Funeral 
services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Free Will Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Clifford Austin and Rev. William W. Moore officiating. Burial 
was made in Green Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Boyd was born November 23, 1880, at 
Georges Creek, KY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Miranda Bryant Estep. 
She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church three years. Her first 
husband, John Will Bryant, died in 1915. She later married Albert Boyd who 
died in 1954. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Rance Adams of Louisa; 
one granddaughter, Mrs. Charlie Adkins of Fort Gay and 5 grandchildren and 5 
great-great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of 
Curtright Funeral Home. Big Sandy News, July 9, 1959
