BERRY, Charles V.
1876-1941
Charles V. Berry, 64, substantial farmer and respected citizen of Blaine, died 
in a local hospital Tuesday shortly before noon. He had been ill for a year and 
had been a patient in the hospital here since Dec 28. Funeral was conduced 
Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the Blaine Methodist Church with Rev. C. F. 
Froderman of Ashland, and Rev. E. W. Elrod, of Louisa, officiating. A son of the 
late Reuben T. and Elizabeth Edwards Berry. Mr. Berry was born at Blaine in 
1876, and had resided there all of his life. He operated 2 farms on Blaine 
Creek. He was a member of the Blaine Methodist Church. He is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Mary Carolyn Moore Berry, to whom he was married 35 years ago, by one 
son, John T. Berry, of Charleston, WV, 9 daughters, Mrs. Kelly McNish, Bristol, 
TN, Mrs. John J. Wellman, Blaine, Mrs. Eulas Dobyns, Williamsport, OH, Mrs. Paul 
Young, Glenwood, KY, Mrs. Ray Wireman, Fallsburg, KY, Mrs. Ray Cox, Los Angeles, 
CA, Mrs. Henry G. Bradley, Blaine and Misses Mary and Virginia Lee Berry, at 
home and one brother, E. C. Berry, of Chicago, IL. Big Sandy News, Jan 10, 1941
