ADKINS, Andrew

Andrew Adkins, 73, died at 10:45 a.m. last Friday at his home in Yatesville 
after an illness of eight weeks. He was a prominent farmer in this area and 
a lifelong resident of Yatesville. He was a son of William and Louverne 
Adkins. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rachel Marcum Adkins; five 
daughters, Mrs. Jay Fitch, Ft. Clinton, OH, Mrs. C. W. Coffee, Mrs. Moine 
Waggman and Mrs. Conrad Hopper, all of Kokomo, IN and Mrs. Lewis Wright of 
Ashland, five sons, George Franklin, Louisa, Drew  Adkins, Lawrence county 
jailer, William Adkins, route 3, Louisa, Garland Adkins, Kokomo, IN and 
Ernest Jr., Yatesville; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Littlefield, Charleston, 
WV, Mrs. Mary Rolfe, Louisville and Mrs. Jim Bradley, Yatesville. Funeral 
services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home with the Rev. Fred Vanhorn 
officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of Young
