Ashland Progress
William Y. Bearden one of the very old citizens of the county, died last night at 
the home of his son at Erin. The funeral will be held this afternoon at Sardis. 
"Uncle Billy" as he was familiarly known was 93 years 11 months and 6 days of age 
we are informed. He came here from Georgia when he was quite young and had made 
this his home ever since.
