The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, Friday, February 11, 1937:  
"Frostburg-Feb. 4-Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Annie J. 
Casey, 90, at her home in Marysville, California, after an illness of three 
days.  Mrs. Casey, widow of Patrick Casey, was a native of Ireland.  She came 
to this country at the age if six and resided in Wheeling.  Married at St. 
Peter's Church in Westernport in 1864, she resided in Westernport and Barton 
until 1902 when she moved to New York.  From there she went to Marysville.  
She was the mother of fourteen children and is survived by John L. Casey and 
Mrs. John Comer, Frostburg; Anna J. McGowan and Thomas Casey, Marysville; Mrs. 
Genevieve Doran, Sacramento, and James Casey, of Pasadena.  Funeral services 
were held in Marysville this morning."
