Patrick H. Brown Dies At Morgantown-Former Westernport Resident Succumbs Suddenly 
At Son's Home-Patrick H.. Brown, aged 74 years, former resident of this community, 
died suddenly Sunday at the home of his son, James Brown, at Morgantown. His wife, 
Mrs. Bridget Burke Brown, was visiting in New York at the time. Mr. Brown was 
engaged in the coal business in this vicinity for thirty years. The family lived 
for some years near West Virginia Junction, and later in Elk Garden and Frostburg, 
whence they moved to Westernport, where they resided until a year or so ago. 
Besides his widow, Mr. Brown is survived by five sons: Leo Brown, Cumberland, 
conductor on the Western Maryland Railroad; William Brown, mine superintendent 
in the Fairmont region; James Brown, also mine superintendent in the Fairmont 
region; Frank Brown, mine superintendent at Red Lodge, Montana, and one daughter, 
Mrs. Aubrey Davis, of Monrovia, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. John M. Davis, of 
Morgantown, W. Va., and Mrs. Margaret L. Healy, Westernport, and one brother, 
Phillip Brown, Frostburg, Md. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 
Morgantown, and the body was place in a vault there."
