Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, 10 Dec 1927: 
"Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ella Brophy, 71 years old, 
wife of William Brophy, who died on Thursday at her home, 
727 Sylvan avenue, were held this morning at St. Patrick's 
Catholic Church, where a reqiuem mass was celebrated by the 
Rev. James A. Dwyer, assistant pastor.  Burial was in St. 
Patrick's cemetery."
