Chicago Daily Times, 2 July 1932
The Rev. John R. Beveridge
Husband of Nannie S. Beveridge
Funeral service will be July 3 at chapel at 63rd & Harvard Street
He will be interred at Barton, Maryland

Additional Comments:
Mr. Beveridge was a clergyman and, according to family sources, a missionary
for 7 years in Japan. He and Nannie lived many years in Chicago. The
Cumberland Evening Times listed his death ten years later in the "Ten Years
Ago" column, 1 July 1942, naming him as formerly of Barton. Some sources say
that Nannie's maiden name was Somerville or Summerville. Johne was born
1864-65 in Maryland, probably Barton, the son of Russell Beveridge and (I
think) Margaret Davis. Nannie was born 1869-70 in Maryland; I have not found
a record of her death. They had at least one child, Edwin Louis or Louis
Edwin, born 9 August 1889 in Barton.
