The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, 11 Jan 1951: 
"Requiem high mass for Larry Albanese, Sr., 76, 150 West Fairview street, 
Piedmont, who died Thursday in Potomac Valley hospital, Keyser, was 
celebrated Monday morning in St. Peter's Catholic church, Westernport, by 
Rev. Charles Quinn, assistant pastor, Rev. Monsignor A. Scarpati was in 
the sanctuary. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Active pallbearers were 
Larry Dimasi, Joseph Patterson, James Dastoli, Dominic Roccella, Dominic 
Nesci, Nick Gentile, James LaRosa and Joseph Femia. Honorary pallbearers 
included Patsy Dubuono, Larry Pezzanite, Dick Demichele, James Sessari, 
Louis Decesari, Frank Antonette, Frank Patterson and Frank Cowatch. Mr. 
Albanese had resided here 55 years but was a native of Caulonia, Italy. 
He was employed as a B. and O. trackman for 32 years. His wife, Mrs. Rose 
Albanese, died in 1935. Mr. Albanese was a member of St. Peter's church 
and the Star of Italy Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy in America. 
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mary Mayolo, Miss Catherine 
Albanese, Miss Nell D. Albanese, Piedmont; Mrs. Rose Ashford, Washington; 
a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Dimasi, Morgantown; three sons, D. T. Albanese, 
Piedmont; James F. Albanese, Bridgeport, O.; Larry Albanese, Jr., at home; 
one sister, Miss Theresa Albanese, Italy; one brother, Dominic Albanese, 
Youngstown, O.; 20 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one nephew."
