Know all men by these presents, that we, Isaac Collins and John Blackwell are 
held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the sum of One 
Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind 
ourselves, our heirs, executers and administrators, jointly and severally, 
firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 1st day of 
September A.D. 1847. The condition of the above obligation is such, that 
whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above 
bound Isaac Collins widower and Amanda Powers spinster of Augusta County; if, 
thefore, there hall be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage,the 
obligation to be void - otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

Additional Comments:
This was Isaac's second marriage. His first was to Margaret Stockdale 10 May 
1826.
