Negro Accidentally Killed Monday

Rufus Ellis, colored, age 24, was accidentally killed Monday afternoon, when he 
fell from a truck, with a bale of cotton falling on him, fracturing his skull. 
The accident occured near the home of Mrs. John Broome. He was rushed to the 
Brown's hospital, but died only a short time after reaching the hospital.  He was 
on a truck belonging to Mr. Fred Henson which was loaded with cotton.

Rufus was working with Mr. Dorse Kesley and was a good negro and hard worker.
