Native Virginian 12 June 1868
Died, in Fluvanna County, on the 31st ultimo, Mr. David S. Farrar. His loss will 
be felt by the whole community, for he was an energetic, public spirited business 
man, upright in every relation of life; one who professed and practiced the 
religion of Christ. -He leaves a wife (a native of our village) and five little 
children to lament his death.
